About Automotive Sled Testing System
Automotive crash test ensures that the vehicle meets the required safety standards, which are set by various automotive safety agencies, such as NCAP, ANCAP, NHTSA, and IIHS among others, across the geographies. Sled tests is a type of automotive testing done by various OEMs to meet the occupant safety regulations. Sled tests are nondestructive tests conducted on sleds with the use of car body (BIW) or components of cars, aircraft, or any other vehicles such as seats, seat belts, airbags. This type of testing is done by replicating the critical events in a full-scale crash on a sled system. Sled testing is useful in determining the level of occupant safety that a car offers in the case of crashes. The revenue in the market includes both product sales (sleds) and the cost of conducting a test (testing service).
