Strict government regulations, greenhouse gas emissions reductions and demand for renewable energy and transportation fuel are driving the market growth. Biogas upgrading is a facility that is used to concentrate the methane in biogas to natural gas standards. The system removes carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, water and contaminants from the biogas. Biogas upgrading technology can be applied to anaerobic digesters, wastewater treatment facilities and landfill sites.

Based on the technology, the amine gas treating segment is going to have lucrative growth during the forecast period as this process uses aqueous solutions of various alkylamines to dissolve and remove hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide from the refinery sour gases, producing sweet gas.
